I talked to Nate a little more yesterday and today. He is starting his next martial arts class this week. This one will be for his brown belt. For those of you keeping track, that is one below a black belt.
He just found out that he has used all of his allowance for this fiscal year for his college tuition. That means he now has to start trying to get financial aid to help him complete the rest of his courses, so that he doesn't have to skip any semesters. Hopefully that will work out, because he seems to have a need to stay extremely busy at all times. I have asked him to send just a small portion of that energy home to me, but so far... nothing.
Dawn and Denny sent him a package last week with girl scout cookies from Mia and a bunch of other things, but he has not received it yet. I decided I wouldn't tell him about the girl scout cookies so he would have a nice surprise. The last box of thin mints I sent him lasted all of maybe 10 minutes. He also hasn't received his computer yet so, he is still anxiously waiting being able to skype Mav. That is by far the hardest part for him..and probably for Mailie too. I think being able to see each other helps to bridge the distance so much.
