If you will remember, awhile ago I mentioned that Nate was taking a martial arts class. Well, he just received his new belt. He only has brown and black to go. He promises to teach me some when he gets back, so that should be fun! When the boys were little I had tried to get them to take a family class with me, but neither one had an interest...now look at him.
He is still working noon to midnight, so he doesn't get a change to skype Mav much. He doesn't mind the hours, but that part of it is difficult. Seeing Mav every night was pretty great and made him feel like he was still involved and there without really being there. Hopefully that part will change soon and they will be back to their nightly chats.
He didn't mention the sand storm this time, so I'm assuming that it has calmed down a bit. Oh, and I received an email from the FRO letting us know that they have a plane taking supplies over there. It is leaving on Thursday, so if we get our packages there by Thursday morning we don't have to pay postage, they will take them directly to the base. Nice...I realize that it is meant for the family members that are still at and around the base, but it always makes me smile that they give such short notice and have limited hours for drop off.
Anyway, hopefully he will be able to send more information later...it has been very limited lately.
